AI@Bag: Intelligent Baggage Detection for Seamless Travel

Powered by FraAlliance and zeroG, this pioneering solution transforms cabin baggage handling through intelligent automation and real-time detection.

Manual carry-on baggage checks and the last-minute handling of excess items often result in gate congestion, boarding delays, and passenger frustration. With AI@BAG FraAlliance is bringing a new level of efficiency and predictability to airline boarding processes.

Using advanced computer vision technology to detect and classify trolleys, backpacks, and other personal items in real-time. This early detection enables proactive intervention before boarding begins through seamless integration into the passenger journey.
This optimisation directly contributes to improved turnaround times and more efficient resource allocation.

Passengers benefit from smoother, faster boarding with fewer disputes over carry-on items. Gate agents gain better situational awareness, allowing them to manage resources and passenger flow more effectively. Aircraft turnaround times are reduced, helping airlines maintain schedule integrity.

By combining machine learning, computer vision, and process automation, the system harmonizes technology, passenger experience, and airline performance.
Machine learning continuously improves the detection models, adapting to changing luggage types and passenger behaviors over time.
Automation ensures that insights from the system are instantly integrated into operational workflows, without manual intervention.
This fusion of intelligent technology and real-time data transforms a manual, error-prone process into a smart, scalable, and passenger-friendly solution.
It sets a new benchmark for collaborative, technology-driven airport operations.

The purpose of FraAlliance is to strengthen cooperation between airline and airport operations — a project like this could only be realized through close collaboration between both sides.
